The 4Pane project is designed to be fully-featured without bloat, and aims for speed rather than visual effects. Built with the wxWidgets toolkit, it has a GTK appearance.In addition to standard file manager things, it offers multiple undo and redo of most operations (including deletions), archive management including 'virtual browsing' inside archives, multiple renaming/duplication of files, a terminal emulator and user-defined tools.There is a tarball, and binaries for the current versions of Debian, *buntu, Mepis, SUSE, Fedora, Mandriva, PCLinuxOS and Slackware, at http://www.4pane.co.uk/ has binaries for older versions and an ebuild/overlay for Gentoo and Sabayon, plus a repository for the debs.
