ALT Linux E17 is an open source, free, eye-candy and easy-to-use Linux operating system that uses the beautiful and attractive Enlightenment desktop environment and it’s based on the main edition of the ALT Linux distribution. Several useful applications are pre-installed in this edition of ALT Linux, including the Mozilla Firefox web browser, EConnMan connection manager, GNOME MPlayer, Synaptic Package Manager, Midnight Commander file manager, as well as the powerful Terminology terminal emulator. ALT Linux is a free and open source Linux-based operating system that’s distributed in multiple editions, with the Cinnamon, WindowMaker, Xfce, GNOME, KDE, IceWM, Razor-qt, MATE, and other popular desktop environments. ALT Linux E17 is distributed as Live CD ISO images, supporting both 64-bit and 32-bit architectures, and offering a persistent mode that lets users to use the system directly from the live media (CD or USB), while saving their settings. The Live CDs can also be easily installed on a local disk drive.
