CGI Calendar is an appointment/event calendar written in Perl.It can run on any system that has a web server supporting CGI and Perl (this includes most Unix, NT, Macintosh, Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris systems, among many others). The project is very customizable and is easy to configure and install.Here are some key features of "CGI Calendar":· Open source - licensed under the GPL· Customizable UI via Cascading Style Sheets and HTML.· Events have Summary, Time, Detail, and Location fields.· Events are sorted by time.· HTML may be used in Detail and Location fields.· Events may be edited, including time and date.· No SQL database is required.· Works from years A.D. 1 to A.D. 9999 and beyond· Easy configuration - edit a single file in most cases.What's New in This Release:· Repeating events were implemented.· Multiple database functionality was improved.· A "group" metaphor was introduced where each database is a separate group available via an optional drop-down menu on the calendar.· The language drop-down menu is now optional.· Web-based administration of language functionality and groups was added.· This can be used to set the default language and show or hide the language drop-down.· It can also be used to add, delete, rename, or set default groups.· The HTML generated is now valid.· This fixes display bugs in Opera.
