Command line tool for Mac OS X that generates thumbnails from web pages using WebKit ASIWebThumbnail is an open source command line based tool for generating thumbnails from web pages and it offers an API to use an embedded version of the tool in your Cocoa applications.ASIWebThumbnail uses the WebKit framework built-in Mac OS X to render web pages. As such, it should support any content that WebKit supports, including HTML/XML + CSS, SVG, content rendered by Javascript (Canvas, AJAX, DOM etc), Java, as well as Flash and other plugins.Installation: You can just open the included Xcode project and choose Build from the Build menu. This will build the ASIWebThumbnail application in the "/build/Debug" folder inside the tool's source directory .NOTE: ASIWebThumbnail requires access to the Mac OS X window server. This means it is not possible to use it in 'headless' applications - you must be logged in via the OS X GUI to run it. Requirements: · Apple Xcode (to build the tool from source)
