GADisk - Open source front-end for the Bassa - offline downloader system GADisk is an open source front-end for the Bassa - offline downloader system. The GAD system will get the request and search in the database. If the file is available in the server it will give a copy of the requested file to the user for downloading. If the data the user requests is not available, than the user should login to download the requested file through the GAD system. The download request will be referred to BASSA for downloading. The BASSA system will download files from 6p.m. to 8 am on the following day.This system will enhance the users to access their downloaded files easily from any locations, also quickly and to avoid repetition of downloading same file within LAN.Disadvantages:· Eventhough it is fast within LAN, it will download in normal speed outside the network. It can be eleminated if there are a lot of GAD-BASSA system around the world.· Implementation needs some knowladge about servers. A normal user can't implement this into his/her system. User needs some knowledge about web,mail and proxy servers. But, anybody who knows how to login and check emails can use this system efficiently.NOTE: GADisk is released under the BSD License.Here are some key features of "GADisk":· Extremely Fast access inside the local network. For example, it takes maximum 3 minutes to download an iso image.· Avoiding Repetition of downloads. The system currently compare exact filename and size to find the file.· No need to wait or lock your machine until it finishes downloading. We download the file and keep it for you, in our system.· Manage your downloads. You can add new or remove unwanted downloads and view the status of the download.
