Google Chrome extension that adds (La)TeX capability to Gmail In brief, the GmailTeX add-on converts automatically the LaTex lines that you write in your e-mails into math expressions. GmailTeX uses MathJax as its TeX typesetting engine.For LaTeX in Gmail Chat, you can use the GmailChatTeX userscript. The first step for making the GmailTeX work is to install the math fonts on your computer. This may or may not be necessary, depending on the configuration of the MathJax server that you use. In any case, installing math fonts locally accomplishes two things: your copy of GmailTeX will work significantly faster, and the load on the MathJax server will be significantly lower. GmailTeX works in Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera.
