A shell program for converting PDF documents into plain text. pdftotext is a shell program for converting PDF (Portable Document Format / Adobe Acrobat) documents into plain text. pdftotext is Open Source Software written by Glyph & Cog, LLC; this implies I only compiled it and built this installer package, but I'm not the author of this software.This installer will install nothing but a "pdftotext" binary and its manpage, compiled from the unmodified sources. Originally, "pdftotext" is part of the "Xpdf" software, which is a viewer for PDF documents. As I only needed the converter and not the viewer itself, this package does not contain anything except "pdftotext".Besides the fact that in order to fully install "Xpdf" X window system is required.
