Inspired by Lewis Carrol's poem, The Hunting of the Snark, Running with the Snark is an augmented reality (AR) app to take with you while you're jogging, walking, or even driving. In it, a Snark (the creature in blue on the map) paces you on your journey, leading the way.In the menu, you can pause or stop the app, reset it, change the screen's orientation, and modify the settings, which include the Snark's speed, whether the map remains centered around you, whether the Snark receives its direction from the direction of the device or from the orgination point of the runner, and the type and zoom-level of the map. Also, you can move the map around with your finger, if you don't have Keep Runner Centered on.This app requires Internet access and an active GPS service, and your device must be facing an open sky. It is also STRONGLY recommended that you turn off other locator services. Though this may be dependent on your particular location and your service provider. The app has been tested on Android 2.2.
