Anglify for Linux Description
Edit By Anglify for Linux is a program that attempts to translate non-English text to English. It first attempts to add metadata to each word of the input stream, in particular any possible parts of speech, pluralities, and genders. Then it attempts to resolve what The Meaning of individual words are based on what words are nearby using simple gramatical rules. For instance, in French, "le" can be a definite article ("the"), or it can be a direct object ("he or it"). If "le" appears before an obvious noun, the former is meaning is inferred. Anglify is still in the early stages of development. While there is support for German, French, Italian, Portugese, Latin, and Spanish, most of the dictionaries are still rather small.
