BPBible Description

BPBible 0.4 is a flexible Bible Study tool. The software has many of the features the user would expect in a Bible application – Bible, Commentary, and Dictionary support, Bible Search, Scripture tool tips, etc. It uses a proximity based search, rather than just a verse-based search. It implies that a search can cross verse boundaries, giving a more natural search. It also supports regular expressions and phrases. BPBible lets the user rearrange their layout, and will remember the layout for them. Due to the use of the SWORD libraries, BPBible can read many modules. The main module repository is the Crosswire SWORD Modules repository. The program supports collecting the passages related to a topic into a list and then organizing and commenting on those passages. The software uses open source technology including Python, wxPython and the SWORD project. The search option features an area to mention the search type as well as word proximity. The search ranges from either the whole bible or the old/new testament. The user can search from the comprehensive list of books to find an apt and appropriate title.
