Extundelete Description

Advertisement Extundelete is a System Utilities software developed by number9652. After our trial and test, the software is proved to be official, secure and free. Here is the official description for Extundelete: Extundelete is a utility that can recover deleted files from an ext3 or ext4 partition. The ext3 file system is the most common Default file system when using Linux, and ext4 is its successor. extundelete is based on the ext3grep program. extundelete uses the information stored in the partition's Journal to Attempt to recover a file that has been deleted from the partition. There is no guarantee that any particular file will be able to be undeleted, so always try to have a good backup system in place, or at least put one in place after recovering your files! Features: - It is able to undelete a file from an ext3 FileSystem or an ext4 file system, as long as the ext4 filesystem has an internal journal. External journals are not yet supported. - extundelete will not restore hardlinks or softlinks. - extundelete will not restore extended attributes. - The program is Currently fairly fragile. For an example of how it can work, see the file testing.txt.
