video prev next Hydrosim V employs the kinematic method to compute overland runoff – generally accepted as being the most accurate mathematical representation of the rainfall-runoff process. Design rainfall can be generated based on regionalised parameters, such as Inland/Coastal Region and Mean Annual Precipitation. Rectangular, triangular and Chicago-type synthetic storm patterns are available. Alternatively, the user can input coefficients from standard IDF curves for synthetic rainfall, or else a user-provided hyetograph.
