Details regarding your computer are important to know. K1 is a tool that retrieves both system and hardware information and allows you to perform a wide range of actions. The software comes with a light interface where details about your operating system, hardware components and Registry are displayed. Thus, from the main window you can see what Windows version you have installed on your computer, how long the system’s been running for, the computer manufacturer’s name and the current user’s rights. However, in the menu bar you can find various other useful functions. K1 not only displays information regarding your computer, but also lets you manage it. So, it comes packed with a tool that can shutdown, reboot, hibernate, log off, lock or enter your computer in stand by mode. Another function lets you see all the processes running on your computer, including with CPU usage. A complete list of installed software can also be viewed with the help of this app. User shell folders are also extremely easy to access with the help of one of the program’s features. Thus, you can save time that you’d otherwise use to browse your computer. K1 also helps you find protected files, see a complete codecs list or change the Windows elements color. The app includes a password generator. This feature helps you create passwords of three levels of difficulty (simple, intermediate and complex). These can be composed by letters or numbers only or they can be random. You can also define the number of characters you want the password to have. Another important tool is the “KCleaner” that lets you clear your computer of unwanted files. You can empty the recycle bin, delete recent documents and temporary files, clean the Prefetch folder and clear your Internet related data (typed URLs, cookies, temporary files and history). The fact of the matter is that K1 is a complex program with plenty of features. The software is easy to use, so inexperienced users should easily figure out what it has to offer.
