Oxigen BinaryWrite is a FREEWARE ActiveX component that can be used as part of your ASP projects or your VB applications. This component allows your applications to read and write binary files to and from your local hard drive or to network resources. Generally, ASP projects cannot natively read and write binary to the file system. In order to do this you require an ActiveX wrapper. Oxigen BinaryWrite provides you with this wrapper.This component has been specifically designed to read any binary source whether it is located locally or on a network resource. BinaryWrite becomes most useful when storing material for your website in Locations not accessible by Visitors through your web server. This can be either in other locations on the hard drive, partitions or even on other network resources. If material is located on other network resources, you can dynamically map and unmap network drives to temporarily access them. Using BinaryWrite you can then send your material, either for download or server-push, to your customers -- all while ensuring Total Security for your valued product. BinaryWrite can also be used to write and/or save files to secured locations on your server or network. The ability to map and unmap network drives allows you access to resources outside of the native drive locations available through traditional binary save components.
