Piano fingers test and exercise Description

Piano playing is a very complex process which includes many different musical, cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities; All of which an expert pianist possesses. Piano Test & Exercise focuses on testing and enhancing a relatively narrow group of physical and cognitive abilities: Speed and accuracy of reading piano finger patterns Parallel thinking and multiple reaction Manual gumption Conscientiousness of each individual finger on our hands Manual learning ability Memory and "manual memory" (Memory of the hands) There are two types of tests: Sequential and Random. They have different objectives. The Random test examines speed of perception, recognition and finger reaction. It also enhances and wakes up the consciousness of every finger, builds condition reflexes between seeing numbers and reaction of fingers, which is a desirable attribute of a good pianist. The Sequential test examines and enhances rather different abilities of a piano player than the random test. It concentrates on the fingers' "learning" ability. Both tests can be done with one, or two hands. Results of the tests and exercises are logged in a separate text file, and can be used to monitor progress or further editing in text processors. The best interpretation of the results is to view the text file. After each sequence, the software writes the number of points for each hand and each sequence, thus enabling you to examine progress in accuracy and in speed. If the results progress, it usually means the pupil has a good learning ability. On the other hand, if the results go down hill it usually means they are incapable of concentrating. The first tests at schools demonstrated a high correlation between good results in tests and good results in actual piano playing, and vice-versa.
