ViewNFO Description

As the name implies, ViewNFO is a program which can display the content of media release information files (NFO). But it also supports ZIP file descriptions (DIZ) and plain text documents (TXT). It can be seamlessly handled, even by novices. The app is wrapped in plain and simple interface where opening a file can be done by using either the file browser or 'drag and drop' method. You can use only two standard word processing functions, namely 'copy' and 'select all', as well as print the current document. Unfortunately, ViewNFO does not pack rich features. Several customization options related to the program's appearance can be found in the 'Settings' screen. Therefore, you can alter colors for the default text, background and hyperlink (default and hover), and select a different font family. But you can also make file associations (with NFO and DIZ), pick the color for selections and selected text, as well as enable the app to automatically copy text when selecting it. ViewNFO supports multiple themes for the GUI, includes a help file and has a good response time to key strokes and mouse events. It uses a low amount of CPU and system memory, so it shouldn't have a big influence on the computer's resources. No error dialogs have been displayed throughout our testing and ViewNFO did not hang or crash. Although it integrates limited features, the app offers a straightforward solution to viewing DIZ and NFO files. No recent updates have been made to ViewNFO.
