Vivian Mail Description

Vivian Mail is a simple yet fairly useful piece of software designed as an email client that you can use to connect to your account and send or receive messages from friends, family or customers. Subsequent to the installation process, you will be prompted to set up your account, by inputting the username, the SMTP and POP server information, along with several other details, before being able to start working with the application. The utility supports adding multiple accounts, allowing you to switch between your personal and professional address, for instance. When the configuration is complete, you will be able to access the main window of Vivian Mail, then start checking your ‘Inbox’ for any received emails. The ‘Outbox’ displays the messages you intend to send in the future, while in the ‘Templates’ section, you can store ready-made emails for repeated usage. You can start composing messages right away, either by using the proper button from the toolbar or by selecting the ‘New Message’ option from the ‘File’ menu. To dispatch an email, you will need to enter the recipient’s address, also supporting Carbon Copy addresses, but not BCC. You can input a ‘Subject’, then type the contents of your email, and, if necessary, you can add file attachments. Finally, you can send the message on the spot or later, the latter option saving it to your ‘Outbox’. Moreover, Vivian Mail provides you with an ‘Address Book’ component, where you can store your contacts, along with the relevant information about them, like name, category (business or private), email address, default subject, signature and other notes. The program includes a ‘Message Filter’ tool that enables you to define your own rulesets, which can be executed manually or automatically, depending on your needs. As such, you can decide how to treat an email from a certain sender or including a user-defined CC recipient; similarly, if the message has a specific subject, it can be automatically moved to ‘Inbox’, ‘Outbox’, ‘Templates’, ‘Sent’ or ‘Trash’.
