WinSend Description

Sending messages to computers in the network is nothing complicated. The feat can be easily accomplished with numerous tools created specifically for this purpose. However, Windows offers this possibility, too. Back in the days is used to be the “netsend” command, but with the newer editions of the operating system the command has been replaced by the “msg” command.Minimalist approachWinSend has been created as simple application that can deliver messages to the computers in the LAN (local area network) without any bells and whistles. However, the application does not function on the latest versions of Windows because it relies on the Messenger service which is no longer available. On the other hand, those still loading up XP can benefit from the fast message delivery service proposed by WinSend. The application does not require installation and it can function as soon as it is extracted from the downloaded archive and the executable file is launched. Simple looks and optionsLooks are extremely simple and working with the product should not pose any sort of problem, regardless of the computer skills of the user. The main screen also makes available a list with the computers available in the network and all you have to do is provide the name of the host or its IP address and type in the message. Once you send it a message pops up informing that it has been delivered. According to the documentation, servers can be added manually to the program; keep in mind that the information is displayed in German. Bare-bones message exchangeWinSend is still useful on systems that have the messaging service activated. It can help with fast delivery of information without any complicated settings to tinker with.
