Winscore Viewer Description

There is an increasing desire to generate spectator participation of soaring contests. Winscore Viewer is a simple easy to use application designed for Internet users to view the flights of a soaring contest shortly after the contest day is complete. With a single click in a web page, the user will be able to immediately have a window on his computer open and start to view the animated flight traces of contestants. Official scorers using the Winscore scoring program can create a single file containing the flight log traces for each day of the contest. This file is in .zip format and contains the logs in .igc format and also the contest site information in .xml format. These files can then be placed on a web server where Internet users can view it. To view this file, the user must first download and install a the Winscore Viewer on his computer. In addition to displaying the flights graphically, you can also view a virtural scorsheet in the Winscore viewer. Simply click on the (View | Pilots...) menu pick.
