disSolver Description

The disSolver VST Plugin ca be used to dissolve between two audio signals. The signals are sliced into equal-sized slices. As the crossfader "A B" is moved towards the "B" side, you'll hear more and more of the "B" signal and less and less of "A", but the total slice size remains the same. This is useful in two specific modes: - Fast mode (short wave lengths) will give a creepy dissolve between the signals. - Slow mode (long wave lengths and BPM-dependant wavelengths) will give a rythmic, groovey interchange between the signals. PlugIn parameters: Wave Length - The actual size of audio slices. Smoothing - As each signal is cut according to the wavelength, a loud hi-pitched noise may appear while dissolving. This is nice for the "creepyness" effect, but not always desirable. The Smoothing option actually makes the signals fade in and out instead of being brutally cut. This produces a smoother dissolve. The ammount of smoothing is controlled via the "ammount" slider - the farther up, the smoother it'll get. The scope section - this displays the shape and state of the dissolve. Use the "A+B" switch to select a display of both signals (A is green, B is yellow) or of A only. Changes you make to wavelength and smoothing values, as well as the actual dissolve action, will be apparent on this display.
