The program has been designed as universal application for security cross platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and apart computers. Users watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the program using net that surveillance server can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration drastically improves reliability because all modules act as independent programs. If one unit fails, other parts go on running. For example if the `record` unit freezes, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture using a `playback` unit. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by activity, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on apart pc via Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
