Lock Keys Description

Lock Keys is a small-sized and portable piece of software that indicates whether the Num Lock, Caps Lock or Scroll Lock keys are pressed or not. It does not comprise complicated options or configuration parameters, making it accessible to all types of users, even the ones with little or no experience in software applications. Portable perks Since there is no setup pack involved, you can put the program files in any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run. Another possibility is to save a copy of Lock Keys to a USB flash disk or similar mass storage device, to be able to run it on any PC effortlessly and without previously installing anything. In addition, the Windows registry and Start menu do not receive new entries, and no extra files are created on the HDD, leaving no traces behind after removal. View locking statuses in the system tray At startup, Lock Keys creates icons in the system tray area, corresponding to the Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock statuses. Their icons change as soon as their keys are pressed. Customize the indicators to display Lock Keys' control panel is accessible through a separate executable file, where you can disable any of the three indicators, as well as set Lock Keys to automatically run at system startup. There are no other notable options provided by this software utility. The tool is very responsive to commands and has a minimal impact on computer performance, since it uses low CPU and RAM. We have not come across any kind of problems throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not hang, crash or display error messages. In conclusion On the other hand, Lock Keys has limited features. For instance, it does not trigger sounds or pop up a balloon when the keys are activated or deactivated. Other than that, it can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
