My TCP Viewer Description

My TCP Viewer is a lightweight and portable application that offers the simplest method possible to verify the TCP connections of your computer. It comes packed with a simple configuration set that can be tinkered with even by users with little experience in such tools. Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can just drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run. It is also possible to save My TCP Viewer to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine seamlessly, without prior installers. An important factor to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard disk after removing the utility. A simple file deletion is suffice to accomplish this task. The interface is made from a regular window with a minimalistic layout, where you can display all TCP connections with the click of a button. Information includes the local and remote IP address and port, and status. Furthermore, you can view statistics when it comes to active and passive opens, failed attempts, established and cumulative connections, sent and received segments, along with incoming errors and outgoing resets. It is possible to enable automatic refresh mode and set the refresh time. There are no other options available through this tool. Unfortunately, you cannot print, export or copy information for further evaluation. My TCP Viewer barely uses CPU and RAM, and it does not interrupt normal activity, since the tool can be minimized to the taskbar. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the utility did not hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, My TCP Viewer should please all users. Unfortunately, it has not been updated for a long time, and it has stability issues on newer operating systems. Reviewed by Elena Opris, last updated on October 16th, 2013
