This is a free sample to give you a taste of the full featured product from the same publishers. This tool supports multiple sound input, audio/video files playback, CD player, line in, microphone, Internet radio, even the obsolete tape/VHS cassette and just about anything else that plays through the sound card of your computer. The recording can be done in WAV and MP3 formats. The audio sampling and the number of bits used in recording will help generate CD quality recordings. Despite all that, the resources used by the program are very low. For example, the CPU usage is as low as 1%. This utility uses the well known LAME encoder for creating MP3 compression. It also does on-the-fly ripping without going through some intermediate format and then compressing it. A wide range of sound cards, including multi-channel/professional/external USB sound cards, are supported and the tool can support multiple such cards at the same time. A logging of events enables diagnosing problems, if any, later. It is compatible with Windows versions right up to Windows 7, 32 as well as 64 bit versions. The interface is simple and direct; there should not be any issues even to a completely new user. This is a good product to try, if you were looking for a capable audio recorder.
