Web Camera Viewer is a Windows freebie that does exactly what its name suggests: it lets you view Internet webcams with just one click. Although there is no help manual available, Web Camera Viewer is actually fairly easy to use, mostly thanks to the design of the main window that comprises all essential options. For example, it shows description, image URL and webpage of each loaded cam, while also displaying the image updating interval, the last modification date for each photo and time since last update. Furthermore, you can choose another webcam from the same window, but also pick a random camera and see download stats. Some of the webcams didn't work during our testing, but the good news is that Web Camera Viewer comes with a built-in utility to remove dead cams automatically. Additionally, it can refresh the preview picture all by itself, but the process takes some time and even stresses up the CPU and RAM a little bit. Last but not least, the application integrates special options to add the cameras you like the most to favorites and load them at a later time with just one click. To sum up, Web Camera Viewer is an interesting piece of software, so further improvements could really help it attract more users. It needs a more friendly approach, as well as dedicated utilities to allow us add new webcams to the database.
